Volcanica coffee company no after taste-smooth
Looking for a smooth coffee with NO bitterness!! Tanzania peaberry coffee is the one!! Smooth!! Comes in whole beans and needs grinding!! Exotic and high quality-grown on volcanic mountainous regions above 3000 feet. The nourishment is from volcanic soil and moisture from the clouds which produces a remarkable flavor! This is family owned for 20 years and ethnically sourced beans -low acid-this one from Kilimanjaro plantation-medium roast- hope this is helpful

Amazing peaberry coffee
Exceptionally smooth. Has a subtle note of ash. One of my favorite coffees to brew. I coarse grind this and french press.

Its decent but not spectacular
This was a pleasant smooth medium roast with medium sweetness and mild acidity. It reminds me of dried figs with a slight citrus finish. It wasnt spectacular but not bad either. I wished it had aroma but it was roasted 2 months ago. Used aeropress with 20g just slight finer than pour a pour over coarse ground setting, with 200gm or ml hot water (i have no clue what the temperature is), bloom 30 secs then brew 3mins tops. I find it more pleasant dilluting and extra 100ml hot water. Took a few tries to dial in this recipe but my first time brewing a peabody.

Excellent find!
Back in my college days, the on-campus coffee shop often had Kenya AA and Tanzanian Peaberry available, and I always loved them. Over the years following graduation I continued to consume coffee, using different brewing methods. Various companies I worked for always provided coffee, but the quality was lower than I'd been used to, and I just accepted things like Starbucks, etc. A few years down the line, post-marriage and kids, I was wondering why my enthusiasm for coffee had waned, and began searching for reasons. My wife had been purchasing our coffee from THE large bulk items store--you know the one--so I looked there first. Tried numerous different coffees from there, only to be somewhat disappointed. Bought an Aeropress and Hario V60, and learned how to make better coffee. An improvement, but still lacking a bit with the coffee I was using, so I started trying local roasters. WAY better! And then I started thinking about the coffees I had been exposed to in college: Kenya AA and Tanzania Peaberry, neither of which were available from the local roasters. Eventually I noticed reputable roasters were selling on Amazon, so I started searching for better quality coffee there, and found Volcanica. I was hesitant at first, as I'd never heard of them, and wasn't sure about the quality. Took a chance on the Tanzania Peaberry, and was pleasantly surprised. It was fantastic! Tried the Kenya AA next, and was equally impressed. I look forward to trying a number of their other offerings, as they have many options. If you're on the edge, I'd recommend putting aside hesitancy on this brand, and give them a try; I think you'll be very satisfied.

Mild flavour, but very acidic.
Mild flavour, which is ok with me, but very very acidic, although doesn’t cause acid reflex. I guess because it’s volcanic soil. Anyhow starting to look for something lesser acidic.

If it wasn't for the bitter rancid taste, it would have no taste at all.
I have ordered Tanzania Peaberry in the past. It has always been fine. Not this time. The beans were the correct size. However, they were pale brown and looked very dry, not oily. When I first opened the bag, The aroma was fantastic. I was looking forward to a great cup of coffe. I ground it on medium using my burr grinder; I used a V60 filter; I used 20 g of beans for 320 g of water just off the boil. I bloomed the coffee for 60 seconds using 100g of water; the remaining water was added in two more batches. I know how to make coffee. The first hint of trouble was when I held it to my nose to smell. There was none of the original aroma. The taste was thin, bitter and VERY rancid. I didn't believe it could be that bad. I adjusted the grind, moved to a Melita #2 filter and retried. Same result. It was disgusting. I went back to bag. By now all that lucious original aroma was gone. It now smelled like it tasted. Rancid. It was roasted on 4-11-25. It is now 6-2-25. The beans were not THAT old. If your goal is a smooth cup of coffee with great depth of flavor, stay away. This qickly was eating a hole in my stomach. The Peaberry I get from my local WinCo is fresher and more flavorful. At any price point, much less Volcanica's higher price, the coffee is a rip off.

Tanzania Peaberry coffee never disappoints
This coffee is a medium roast and the taste never disappoints for me. It isn't too acidic unlike the light roasts, but has a sweetness and a chocolaty note. Overall, the flavors are great which is why I keep ordering it even though I have had more expensive light roasts. It also comes quite fresh as well.

Tanzania Peaberry coffee best for drinking black
I was looking for a coffee that was so good you could drink it black. I ran into this coffee through a Google search. Volcanica Tanzania Peaberry. When I received it and open the bag it smell like it had just been roasted. I felt like I was there while they were roasting it. Very fresh and pleasing scent. I just went though a bag of this coffee. Volcanica coffee company is a top shelf coffee for me. Great Value for money. I like my coffee with a little more kick to it so I ordered from Volcanica again, this time i ordered a little stronger coffee, Sumatra Mandheling coffee. Overall I'm very satisfied with this coffee comapany
