Good quality

Performs great in terms of sharpness and contrast, balances great on smaller Fuji bodies. But straight out of the box there were some dust particles inside the lens elements, probably not enough to affect images but still concerning and worrying for a weather resistant lens. If you buy this lens make sure to examine the elements with a flashlight. Hope I can get some support from Amazon or Fujifilm about this issue.

I received the box unsealed, with missing lens cap and with a sign of usage on the focus ring, seems like the lens is not new. Very disappointed.

It's original Fuji lens but the box was not sealed. So I'm not 100% sure if it is brand new. Nevertheless, I found no fault with the lens.

Una lente de calidad como se espera de Fujifilm, con una excelente apertura y autoenfoque igualmente bueno. Es además ligera y sellada contra la lluvia y el polvo. Muy buena para fotografía espontánea con un toque natural por la distancia de la lente.

All the online reviews and YouTube videos are correct, this lens really is excellent! I paired it with an old Fujifilm X Pro 1 and it is an amazing combo, great images, great colours, sharp even at F2 and a silent autofocus make this a lens I cannot see me ever taking off my camera, at a focal length I favour over any other (50mm on an APSC sensor).

Very impressed with the build quality and performance of this great little prime lens which offers a versatile 53mm equivalent normal view suitable for most situations. Build quality is impressive with a metal satin-finished exterior, engraved markings and solid last-a-long-time feel. No rattling or movement inside. Color, contrast, and sharpness of pictures are satisfying & excellent. Bokeh is very good and will meet most people's needs. What impressed me the most though, relative to other X-series lenses, was the speed and silence of the internal focus, just touch the focus and boom it’s there with zero fuss or noise, just great! Also the aperture ring has been tightened up with much more distinct stops for more positive settings relative to earlier X-series lenses. Manual focus ring operation is smooth and silky. The included basic small lens hood is made from a high quality plastic that threads onto the end and still allows the easy-to-use lens cap to be attached. An optional larger metal lens hood with a bayonet mount is available if desired. Add weather resistant sealing to the package and you have a superb little gem of a lens that will pair nicely with your X-series camera and look great! Outstanding value (might I say a steal, especially during the Fuji sales) for a do-it-all prime lens. A great choice for your first X-series prime lens.
