The dimensions seem large. This would be for a person who shreds a small amount several times a week.** A: It is larger than a typical home shredder, but I love it. If you are shredding several times a week, this is a good model. Only, don't shred junk mail envelopes with the cellophane windows. They melt as the shredder gets warm during use, and it can clog the shredder. I found that out the hard way. Otherwise, really terrific machine! **Q: On a scale of 1-5 and 5 being the loudest...how noisey is it?** A: Small cheap shredder at home = 5. This one = 2.
