It says 24 items, but I have a hard time telling from the image.** A: Wash cloth,scrub pad,spoons,forks,cutting board,sauce containers,knife,whisk,cheese grader,spatula,big spoon,salt and pepper shaker,spice container a few more items I can't remember with out unpacking my camping gear. I just used it on a 5 day camping trip with my family and it was great to have and very handy to have. **Q: what are the squeeze tubes for?** A: Cooking oils, vinegar or other liquid cooking essentials. **Q: are the dimensions of the set once it is zipped up, or opened up?** A: The product dimensions are the item when it's zipped up. Mine is actually only 3" thick and I have it stuffed with extras so I think 3.5" is the maximum thickness. It is approximately 16" wide when it's unzipped and laid open like a book. **Q: Wouuld this be good for backpacking?** A: I would say so.
