It almost tastes aged and smoky, a bit like tuna jerky but still moist, not watery or mushy. It’s not fishy at all, which is what usually puts me off brands like John West. This one actually tastes deliberate rather than just tuna with stuff mixed in. The Mexican-style flavour works really well without being overpowering. It’s also one of the few things like this that doesn’t stand out in a work canteen, which matters more than it probably should. I’m genuinely happy eating this regularly and could easily have it multiple times a week.
