I’ve bought several of these. I’ve tried different tools including dremels. This seems to work the best. Practice on something else first. I got it to engrave some small washers that I was making into necklaces for my nieces and daughters for Christmas. It did do the job although the bit wore out pretty quickly and sadly the replacement bits were a bit (excuse the pun) expensive. It doesn't have as much power as I expected and seems to take longer to engrave than my Dremel would. But that aside this is way easier to use than the dremel since it is so small and I have small hands. Personally It'll be used a lot here for small odd jobs and crafting. If you're looking for something heavy duty, I would say just get a dremel. If you just need it for odd jobs and crafts this will work just fine, just expect to work a little slower than you would with a dremel. Also, it is not compatible with the dremel bits and I did make the mistake of buying the wrong replacement bits. You have to read the product info and buy the correct bit for this specific engraver.
