GREAT STUFF PRO Gaps & s 24 oz Insulating Foam Sealant, Orange

The Great Stuff Pro Gaps & Cracks Insulating Foam Sealant has been a reliable product for my home improvement projects. This 24 oz can provides a generous amount of foam, which is great for sealing gaps and cracks around the house. This is for use with an application gun I use it on a regular basis for insulation and or Fill gaps a couple of inches wide that I need filled and sealed . TIPS It expands quite a bit so don’t fill the gap all the way up or you will have to trim it down once it dries it sticks to Many surfaces but not plastic Do not get it on your hands because it takes days to get it off DO NOT USE ON THE GAPS AROUND DOORS AND WINDOW JAMBS. It expands with enough pressure to move the jamb and cause it to be too tight around the door and or window they make a completely different formula for doors and windows that does not expand with as much force

Have you ever used one of the standard cans of Great Stuff to fill some cracks and ended up with huge billowing hunks of it when you only wanted a small bead? Next, you find out that because it’s so difficult to control you emptied the can on one simple job. By now you have it on your hands, your clothes, and your phone rings. Yep. You’ll never buy that again. But wait. This really is Great Stuff. You just bought the wrong can. Get the gun ($25) and buy this. The gun stops and starts instantly, is minutely adjustable for perfect caulking. Seriously! It puts the foam right where you want it and only enough to do the job. This one can will equal 5 of 7 of the hardware store variety. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, don’t bother with the cleaning fluid and all that. I keep the can on the gun at all times. Even if the can runs out. I just rub the end of the nozzle when I'm finished. When I am ready to use it again, I just rub the nozzle tip with a utility knife and it takes right off. Shaking the can for a minute is the longest part of the process. I have on occasion left a can on for almost a year and it started up like I’d just put it down. Just make sure you keep a can on the gun and the foam inside the gun won't cure. It’s Great Stuff!!!

It’s spray foam, it does as described. I’ve worked mostly with the door & window foam which doesn’t expand as much as this stuff, so it was a surprise to me how much more difficult it was to get even foam coverage with this. Seems to go everywhere even with the dispensing gun turned down. I’m sure that’s me and not the brand, just something to be aware of if you’re accustomed to the other type. Does the job, fills big gaps, sticks to everything.

I used these with the applicator and have left them on the applicator for a month and they still work just fine. It is a lot cheaper than the other cans that have the cheap straw and are only good for a few hours. This is closed cell foam and has an R rating of 6-7 per inch. I have filled some narrow but deep cavities and feel confident that it will stop any air from moving through the area. It is also great for sealing around rigid insulation.
