Freaking AMAZING. If you like tactical clicky keyboards, this is your go-to. It feels better quality than my $76 mechanical keyboard—and brighter in terms of LED. Plus, I personally love very loud keyboards lol. USB cord is directly connected to it, so don’t forget that this IS a wired mechanical keyboard. Which I also love. Keycaps respond nicely to the laptop in a timely manner. Super pretty, too.

Best money I've spent in a long time
UPDATE 1/14/2026 As of 1/13/ I have now had this keyboard for 1,000 days. I've officially racked up 1,260,071 tracked words. (I'm sure there's a good chance that there's at least half that number in un-trackable words (like these) that I've used this keyboard for too. The most-used keys are smooth, but have no worn out any more than they were when I mentioned the wear on the below update. All the lights still work. The keystrokes are just as smooth and flawless as the first time I used this keyboard. It works easier than my laptop keys. The strokes are longer and take almost zero pressure to move them. I've written at LEAST three novellas and four full novels on this keyboard. And I think the day it dies will be the day that I cry. Hopefully, this keyboard will still be available, so I can purchase it as a replacement if I ever need to! UPDATE 2/1/2025 As of 1/31 I have now been able to track 1,003,148 words on this keyboard. I'm sure that I've reached a MUCH higher number with all the non-traceable typing that has been done since last February! I am still thrilled with this keyboard! The lights still work and switch between styles if/when I want it to. The keys that I apparently use the most have a slight shine on them from where my fingers have worn them down a bit, but there's basically zero wear damage as of yet. The only thing that I can actively notice is a slight wear on the silver ring around the E key (maybe an 1/8th inch long if that). The keystrokes are still flawless. A fantastic author companion! UPDATE 2/21/2024: As of 2/20 this year I have now written 502,870 tracked words with this keyboard. I say tracked because I have typed many emails/facebook messages/discord messages ect. that I haven't tracked over the last 297 days that I have owned this keyboard. In those 297 days, I've cranked out 11 manuscripts finished manuscripts on this keyboard. (with many still in progress). It still works as well as the day that I first used it. There have been some days that I have written out almost 13,000 words in 24 hours, and have had NO issues with the performance or how my hands feel after it (my brain on the other hand...pure mush). The lights still work like it did when it was brand new. I'm honestly shocked that the letters have not worn out yet. I HAVE started to create a shine on the keys that I use the most. 10/10 would reccomend this keyboard still. BEST money I've spent in my writing career so far. Get this keyboard, you won't regret it. I've had this keyboard for 42 days now. I'm a novelist that regularly writes over 50,000 words a month (sometimes more than 10,000 in a day). As of yesterday (day 41) I have written over 1004,000 words on it. Just on manuscripts alone. There's no telling how high the actual word count is total because I don't track emails or facebook posts or reviews (like this one!!) just the manuscript words. I bought this because I had started to get "laptop hands" because I was writing so much and the squished together keys were straining my tendons. This keyboard has been my saving grace. I love the lights, the key action is smooth and makes my little writer's heart happy. The clacking noises sound just like an old typewriter, and I've found that it actually keeps the juices flowing for my imagination, since I write mostly in the Prohibition Era. The lights are entertaining and are just as bright on day 42 as they were on day 1. I also have long (natural) nails, so laptop keyboards always made my fingers hit weird as I was typing. This keyboard doesn't have that problem. The key stroke is so light it takes barely any pressure to make a key move. I'm pretty sure that my typing speed has increased because of this keyboard. Worth. Every. Cent.

Retro Aesthetic with a Clicky Twist
This YSCP Typewriter-Style Mechanical Keyboard is an absolute showstopper! The pink retro round keycaps give off serious vintage typewriter vibes, but with all the modern functionality you need for gaming and everyday use. The blue switches provide a satisfying click with every press—perfect for those who love that classic mechanical feel. The LED backlighting is a fun touch, making it great for late-night typing or gaming sessions. However, I do wish the build quality felt a bit more solid—some parts feel a little lightweight compared to premium mechanical keyboards. Overall, if you’re looking for aesthetic meets function, this is a fantastic choice. Just be prepared for the loud key clicks, which might not be ideal if you share a workspace.

So cute and fun!! 10/10
SUPER EASY to use! Just plugged it in. Answered a couple questions the computer asked me and I was good! HIGHLY recommend! The noise is great too! (Hehe)

Love colors & sound, not great for work
I work remotely and thought this keyboard would add some pizzazz to help get through the long days. The functionality of the colorful LED lights is great and it’s fun to type on. However, the silver circle pieces around the keys are not durable and/or were not glued on well. After a few months, they started coming loose, which has been an issue when it comes to typing emails and notes. Additionally, I didn’t think about how loud the typewriter keys would sound when typing during a meeting where I need to be unmuted. I’ll be ordering a quieter, more expensive board similar to this one.

Love it!
I absolutely love this typewriter-style mechanical keyboard! The colors are so pretty and bright. The lighting really makes it stand out on my desk. The blue switches have that perfect clicky sound when I type. It gives that retro vibe but still feels modern and smooth. Definitely worth it if you love the sound and look of old-school typewriters with the fun of gaming lights.

A decent keyboard but has some issues ...
OK, right off the bat let's rate the fundamentals of any keyboard: 1. Layout: Pretty standard full IBM-style keyboard. 2. Backlit keys: No, more bottom-lit keys. I just got this keyboard and the light emitted from the base of each key far exceeds the light emitted through the tops of the keys. 3. Key caps: Grey letters on black backgrounds; not exactly distinctive, especially if you decided to turn off the backlghts. 4. Key touch/Travel/Noise: Definitely a mechanical "soft touch" key with "clack" sound coming primarily from when the key hits the lower limits and the base echos the sound. Key travel is accurate, straight and true. 5. Compatibility: Its works with my Windows PC, and I assume it could work with Unix/Linux computers. Not sure about Macs. 6. Connectivity: uses a standard USB-A connector. There is no on-board additional USB ports to connect a mouse of tablet input device. 7. Weight/Feel: Definitely lightweight, plastic-like feel to it. All the feet are plastic, no rubber -- the keyboard can easily slide on your desk. That said, it does not appear to slide while typing -- but it is easy to push away with a swiping gesture. 8. Instructions: Minimal, 4-point type print in multiple languages (bring a magnifying glass if you want to read the small fold-out sheet) and confusing. Here's a sample: "Press FN+INS to enter (different light modes) ... Press again to enter 'single-point illumination' mode -- Press the corresponding row of backlights for 23 seconds." Or this: "Press again [FN+INS] to enter 'upward stacking mode: -- The keyboard backlight is superimposed from the last row of horses (sic) to the first row, and from then the last row of horses to the second batch." Huh? From strictly a functional point-of-view, this keyboard is adequate. I have not used this in low/no light situations yet, but I anticipate the key clarity will not be as clear as other models of backlit keyboards I've owned in the past. Now for the Frilly stuff: A. The light schemes: Cute, but not exceptional. There are many rotating color displays for the main key's LEDs (surprisingly, however, there does not appear to be any lighting at all (base or back) for the Function keys). B. Color Control: Apparently cannot control the colors, just the rotating color schemes. You also cannot set one color for all the keys, or establish one non-rotating color scheme -- except to turn off ALL backlighting. C. Style/Appearance: I'm not sure I'd call this "steampunk" style; it's more of retro-SCM manual typewriter style. The keys are bright chrome with black inserts and grey-white letters/number/symbols. In all, a bit disappointing but its functional. I bought this because the cat spilled coffee on my Logitech G512 Carbon, shorting out over half the backlights (the keyboard still works). I needed a keyboard --fast -- and the local stores had crappy keyboards. I need backlighting because my office faces due North with trees blocking all but the most indirect sunlight. I like the sound and feel of the keys on this board, but light weight and lack of color control (Can I please just have white or blue lights for ALL the keys, please?) is a downer for me. I'll hold onto top this until I can find a keyboard with the color control and feel/weight I had with my G512 Carbon.

Exactly as you’d expect
The keyboard is so nice, it’s smooth but keys are ringed so your fingers don’t slide off as easily. The sound itself can be loud at times but it does infact sound like a typewriter! I used it for gaming and it worked out great 👍 .. I had to switch though because the sound started bugging everyone, including me.

Justo lo que pedí! ☺️
Este él es segundo que pido, todas las teclas cambian de color porque es RGB, tiene un montón de opciones para las luces y este me encantó. Hay que fijarse bien en el modelo que se pide porque no todos son RGB.

The cheapest custom keyboard I know.
The keyboard is entirely made of plastic. I pressed Esc three or four times, and the next day the key stopped responding. I fully disassembled the keyboard to replace the switches and the frame—its structure is just cheap plastic. No way to add insulation. The PCB is also cheap, with solder joints barely holding the components together. The switches are low quality; they need to be lubricated or they'll wear out prematurely. The entire keyboard feels cheap and isn’t worth the price. Its real value is $20 USD, max. I don’t understand why this keyboard has so many stars—it doesn’t deserve them.

Great customer service!
So this keyboard is very nice and has a loud clicky sound which is what I want. Mechanical keyboard with removable keycaps. I didn't check if you can change the hot keys to other type of mechanical bases yet but I do enjoy the aesthetics of this keyboard. I ordered the keyboard expecting a full rgb backlight with the blue/purple lighting as depicted which I was super excited about but the one that arrived was just single lighting as shown in my video. The seller was very quick to help with this mistake and gave me a full refund while letting me keep the product as their way to make up for this. I will still keep and use the keyboard as I really enjoy the feel and sound of the keyboard. I will also customize the keycaps and back board. The keycaps are flat top which if you're not familiar with it might take some time to adjust. Super sleek typewriter style. It is very lightweight which is convenient as I might make this my travel keyboard. If you order the keyboard and get the blue/purple lighting as seen from another review the rippling effect looks amazing which was the whole reason I ordered it. Overall, very happy with my experience even though I received a slightly different product than was advertised.
