This pen really helped when my grandson’s letter came off his shirt. Several letters,had begun to peel his first time wearing it, because it hadn’t been heat set properly. I could iron those letters back on (with the help of a pressing cloth), but the letter “I” had come off completely. I ordered these pens, hoping I could imitate the other letters on the shirt, and the pen was so smooth and easy to use because they glided over the cotton fabric with no blobbing. The letter I did isn’t perfect but that was on me. Thank you for such a good product. (I plan to heat set that one letter “I” since several customers had suggested to heat set work for backup—when I inquired through Rufus about this product’s durability.)

Easy to apply. Don't need to heat. No other special steps needed to set the dye. Doesn't wash out No see thru. It will be black on many different color fabric. Long lasting - after half of dozen washes. product looks pristine. Ink is very, very black. Works great on very black items. Highly noticeable on almost black items. Requires patience to cover large stains due to fine tip. Should work great for use writing on fabric.

These are the best pens I have ever bouthgt for making quilt labels! They write so smoothly..no ink skipping; no pulling at the fabric. I have not tried washing them. So, I don't know about them being colofast.

Good tool, just not the one I needed for this project. I liked that it didn't run on the silk and I will absolutely use it again. Bought this to add some detail to hand dyed silk florals, but the black was too intense and the line was a little wider than I wanted. Compared to Pigma Micron Pens the line is probably twice the width. If I bought it to do block lettering on a quilt, I would probably be saying the line was too thin and the color not intense enough. It's all about the application. The silk was machine washed, the little bit of marking I had done stayed in place without a problem. Too bad that Pentel has discontinued the colors that these pens came in before. If you see any, you might want to buy them.

I make cross stitch ornaments with smooth fabric backings and I wanted to be able to write on them. These pens work very well for that purpose. Write slowly and keep the fabric taut, comes out nicely each time.

These pens were perfect. I ordered them for family and friends to sign a cancer patients quilt. There was absolutely no bleeding when writing on the quilt. Excellent product.

I bought these to label my quilts with. They work well and don’t bleed through the fabric. I haven’t tried washing them yet however other users suggested they do keep their permanence after washing.

Use these pens to mark fabric. Iron the marks off when finished.

En un principio estuve algo dudosa de comprarlo debido a la cantidad de productos para tela que al lavarse pierden la intensidad parcial o total. Al hacer la prueba quedé gratamente satisfecha.

Straight forward fabric pen, thin enough for labelling daycare clothes. I’ve washed them a couple of times now and the ink doesn’t smudge at at all on satin labels. I waited the 48 hour period before washing as per the pens’ instructions and had no issues with ink run off.

Used these for writing an address on a cushion that looks like an air mail letter. I wanted the finished cushion to be machine washable so I wrote the name and address on a plain piece of calico first and put it through a machine wash and tumble dry. Very impressive, no noticeable loss of colour, no bleeding, no faults at all. Very easy to write with onto fabric, crisp clean lines and no bleeding or blobs of ink at all. Very happy with these pens. 10/10.
