I couldn’t have been more wrong! We have spent a lot of time playing on it as a family which is great because we didn’t want them disappearing off to their room with it all the time. As we were newbies to the Switch we bought this package which comes with the console and the Ring Fit download and accessories, but over Christmas we ended up buying an extra set of Joy Cons to enable us to play Mario Party 4 player. In addition we have also bought a screen protector and a case just in case we decide it can leave the house at some point! The actual console is well built, it is really easy to stand it in the dock and the Joy Cons slide easily onto it. It is compact and doesn’t take up too much room. It was easy to set up and the updates and Ring Fit game downloaded quickly once we had created an account. Games are easily purchased from the Nintendo store and we found some pretty good deals on there on LEGO games although some take quite a lot of room up on the memory so it might be wise to look for a memory card if you are looking to download a lot. The Ring Fit game is a lot of fun although our kids weren’t massively into it as you obviously can’t all play together and they got a bit bored of hanging around for a turn; I’d say it’s a game for the grown ups although having said that we have used it this week as home school PE on rainy days! The actual ring used to play is really good quality, to begin with it might feel like you don’t want to put too much pressure on it in case it breaks but it is really flexible and you soon get the hang of the controls! All in all we are surprisingly impressed with the Switch, it has spent most of its time in the dock connected to the main TV in the house with us all playing it together which has been a big positive as I was worried that having one would mean us all spending less time together! A big thumbs up from us! Review: Very good game - I am nearly 75 with back and hip problems, I had the Wii fit with balance board but found it would not work on my new smart tv so got the ring fit adventure as I found it nice to go at my own pace with the Wii. I have found this game to be very good and there is a lot more to do than just the adventure, you are taken through a warm up stretch and there is an animated man showing you what to do. Was easy to set up and get connected to the internet (would have been quicker with a youngster in the house) but with a bit of trial and error you soon find out how the game works works. Very pleased I bought it as I can still do exercises when I want and at my own pace and strength level that I am comfortable with and I can feel the benefits starting to work..
