Review: Fantastic; Worth the Price! - The hardest part about this device is getting it out of the package! An exacto knife took care of that! I plugged it in, followed the directions, and in 5 minutes, I was online! I love this thing. Ya, it's $[...], but for that price I now not only play the games online, but I have Zune for free, with all the History, Discovery, National Geographic channel shows, and a bunch of TV show seasons I've wanted to see. If you have Netflix, you can also watch movies, and even more great shows, on your big TV, not the computer screen! without having to wait for them to come in the mail. Watch 10 a day if you want to. There isn't a limit. For me, this little thing paid for itself, as I'm not buying movies on demand for the kids anymore, and again, if I want to see a movie, NOW, I can without waiting for it to come up on my Netflix cue. Great device, easy setup, (Important to me, as I am NOT a techie), and X Box offers great features once you're on line with them. Highly recommended! I wish I had done it sooner. I'm off to go watch the Civil War series. Enjoy! Review: A/B/G Networks Only? Coulda fooled me! - I bought this thing about a year ago to attach to an XBOX that gets light use most of the time, and heavy use during holidays and vacations when the younger set arrives. As for the product, it has worked great, no problems. I paid a bit more for it than I felt it was worth, but, like others have noted, the lack of hassle in hooking it up was appreciated, and who has time to fool around trying to get something to work? Better to just suck it up and fork over the dough, and avoid the agony. I stopped in to write this review because in glancing at the description of this item while looking for other XBOX accoutrements, I noted that this product is now advertised as "A/B/G Networks Only"--it didn't say that when I bought mine, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Why? I have an "N" network and it predates my purchase of this product. FWIW, when I made my purchase, there was no "N" adapter offered for sale, and the adapter I purchased worked, and still is working, JUST FINE on my "N" network. I also notice that the "N" network version is a bit pricier than this one. Perhaps some expert can weigh in and tell us why the "N" version, at an additional cost, is better, but I simply wanted to report that my experience is that this particular adapter worked and continues to work with no issues on my "N" network.

Ethernet cables are better, but buy this if it's necessary
First of all, the very fact that this is a product is horrible! Sony and Nintendo both offer wireless internet access built into their consoles, so why should Microsoft sell wireless connectivity for a giant $100!? Just when you thought paying an annual fee just to play your games online was bad enough... Anyway, this product may not be worth the fortune Microsoft demands for it. I bought not one, but TWO of these darn adapters and not one of them worked! That's $200 out of my pockets and into Microsoft's swimming pool of money! My 360 is pretty far from my router, but I decided to buy a whopping 100 ft Ethernet cable from Amazon for the low, low price of only $11. That's a HUGE saving from that wireless scam Microsoft is pulling! What's better: spending $11 on something that works, or $100 on something that may or may not work? I think we all know what the better deal is. In Microsoft's defense, the adapter is meant to work and people who bought it and got it to work say it's a great device. Just be warned that there's a chance it won't cooperate with your need to go online on your Xbox and an Ethernet cable can easily fix the problem.

EASY INSTALL, Works Perfectly from Across the House!
This wireless network adapter worked great out of the box and was easy to install on the Xbox 360. You literally plug in the USB and snap it to the back. I haven't had any connectivity issues and the wireless networks setup through the Xbox interface was SUPER EASY. The adapter is really compact and fits onto the back of the Xbox 360 like it's hardly there. It works for 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g wireless routers and access points. I haven't had a signal drop, even from the opposite side of my home. My only complaint is the price, this costs as much as many home wireless routers! If you take in all of the benefits and utilize Xbox live enough, I suppose you can rationalize it. Being cord-free is pretty nice too.

Amazon screw up
When I bought this product I put it on a new never used credit card from Amazon . Within a few hours it was explained in an e mail that the order did not go through and was canceled . I called Amazon Credit and explained the problem and I was informed that the sale was not registered on my account. At that point I was told that the sale would not occur. I did not get upset . I have a paypal account with ebay and found the adapter ( new ) for less money , purchased it and received it rather quickly . And about 3 - 4 days later the adapter from amazon arrived , so I would not have to go through amazon and explain this to them again I kept the adapter and now have ( 2 ) . One for a back-up . Note: both my grandsons love the game and although it is starting to get expensive it is worth every penny . than you , glenn. ps; did e mail the seller when they had requested a review and they were kind enough to say they would take it back. Guess I was upset and stubborn I did not send it back . If only I wasn't a man life you be so much easier.

XBOX 360 wireless network adapter
My son has had to move his XBOX from the living room back to his bedroom over and over. I like to use it while he is at school, and he plays his games in the eve. The adapter is constantly being put in and taken out. Personally I think it makes the internet run a bit slower than the cord. I like to watch Netflix. Sometimes while watching a movie with the adapter in, the movie has to refresh or reload or whatever it does. All I know it is very annoying. So I use the Ethernet cable to stop the reloading in the mist of a good movie. My son has no internet in his room and this small unit allows his to play XBOX live. He says it runs perfectly fine with his games. It makes him happy, so it makes me happy.

Plug and Play Easy! Highly Recommended!
The "Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter A/B/G" is a great accessory of the core Xbox 360 system, allowing wireless internet access over home WiFi networks. We installed it the first time we powered up our Xbox and the process was very easy. The adapter fits snugly on the case slot designed for it and short USB cord is just long enough to reach the Xbox connector. Walking through the setup was like any other wireless device and only took a few minutes for it to see my network SSID and to configure the WEP code. Highly Recommended! Note, if I had to do it again I would have went for Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter A/B/G & N Networks to get "n" support. CFH
