Are both knives narrow?

Hi Snakemonkey, The Dexter Russell 7" (7 in. long) fillet knife is narrow with a sharp, high-carbon steel blade for processing delicate meats, such as fish. Its handle is made of white polypropylene to add durability, and the blade is designed to resist stains that could contaminate other foods. This knife is not suitable to debone fish, so it should only be used for cutting. The Dexter Russell 8" (8-in) Basics® fillet knife has a thin, flexible blade that enables users to separate meat from the skin when preparing fish. This 8-inch blade is made of steel with a high carbon concentration that retains its sharp edge and resists staining. The knife's white handle is made of sanitary polypropylene that's textured to offer a secure grip. We tried as much as possible to give you information about the knives. Thank you!!!

Seller can you tell us where these knives are manufactured? us japan or china? dexter has knives made in all three.

It was the bandl of two dexter-russell 7" and 8" fillet knives two days ago. there is a sharpener in the photo now with the same sku. what's going on?

Are they good for slicing salmon thin for lox?

I don't know if they are good for salmon but what I can tell you is that these are NOT good knives. I bought several after seeing them on a show but I had one break in half right off the bat and the others sharpness didn't last at all. I will not every buy these again or recommend them. Sorry
