Nice upgrade to add Android Auto to older cars
Purchased RCD360 Pro II to add android Auto connectivity to 2015 VW Passat. I did a lot of research before purchasing so installation went fairly straightforward; the only time consuming part was running a wire from a reverse light to RGB converter box. The cable harness included with the unit is plug-in, the included antenna adapter is not very good so I purchased a Dual Fakra Car Radio Antenna Adapter instead (ASIN B07QH762D4); YX2216 or similar RGB to AV camera adaptor is required for factory backup camera to work (ASIN B0C9D1VVCL), I tapped the power for it from a cigarette lighter wiring harness. Very pleased with the final result, steering wheel controls work, Bluetooth and wired Android Auto works as expected, sound is good and installed unit looks like it came from factory. Be aware that if you unplug airbag light connector on the dashboard trim the airbag warning light will come on and you will need a VAG-COM or go to dealer to reset it.

literally plug and play
This was fantastic as I found that through the directions the OEM harness for my 2016 VW Tiguan S trim with rear camera was the exact same and there was no need to use the harness adapter or any of the additional cables. All I had to do was plug in the original OEM harness into the back of the Unit screw back in it was perfect I could not have been any happier. My biggest worry was that the camera was not going to work but it worked great and it seems to be improved with the quality and size of the new unit. everything is seamless with speakers to bluetooth to connected CarPlay and with the steering wheel. I did not opt in to buying the unit with wireless CarPlay be that is was almost and additional 100 bucks and that seems a little steep to me.

Easy install to update an aged Rabbit
Been using this unit for the past 2 months and it has been great. I was missing the head unit from my previous mk7 gti and wanted to update my Rabbit with android auto, this seemed like the easiest route and I love that it looks oem. Install was very easy and I didn't need any special adapters or mess with the CAN bus, I think because my Rabbit is a base model with no steering controls. Thankfully I have not experienced any battery drain. All features work as expected, the screen isn't as nice as the in the Mk7 but that is only a small complaint. Also unable to pinch zoom in google maps which im not sure is a limitation of the head unit's screen or an issue with android auto. All in all a nice upgrade from the base Rabbit radio, and I hope this unit lasts the life of this car without problems. Update 8/26/2022 - So after several months of relatively problem free usage of this head unit I have started having problems with it. Something happened to the usb port in the unit and it is no longer starting up Android Auto with my phone. I noticed one day my USB cable started smoking at the usb-c side(!!!) and proceeded to remove it before it could cause any damage. Since then the head unit will no longer connect via Android Auto, it tries but I keep getting an error stating my device is not compatible. I have tried multiple known working cables and even doing a factory reset on my phone and full reset of the head unit with no success. I used Android Auto regularly so it is a bit of a disappointment to lose the function. I have started using bluetooth now and that came with it's own issue. Every time I start the car bluetooth will not automatically connect, I have to go through a process between pressing prompts on both the phone and head unit in order to connect, which is such a pain in the neck. Hopefully I can get the AA issue sorted, otherwise i'll replace the head unit with something else.

Best way to get phone connectivity for older VWs
Where to start? I settled with the PROII version, or as the title says "PORII", and I have no regrets. The device is quite literally plug and play which is nice and looks fantastic once installed. I basically got the unit for Android Auto since I was downgrading from a 2021 Subaru to a 2013 VW. I will say, the Android auto experience so far is flawless. I dare to say it's even more responsive than the Android Auto in my 2021 Subaru. The unit looks and feels stock and even the menus reflect that. I have only had the unit for less than a month but I will happily update this review if anything major pops up. Just because it's a Chinese made unit does not mean it is trash. They put a lot of work and effort into this and I can respect that. Just because your unit is faulty does not mean all of them are. I would assume the seller would respect that in some way at least but I hopefully never will discover that. I would highly recommend this and already have to a friend with an older VW who is dying for Android auto.

Works with MK6 Dynaudio system
So I do have a 2010 Volkswagen GTI with Dynaudio, and I can verify that this radio will work with the amp. There is no static when the radio is off. You can adjust the amp in the settings and the sound is great. The only thing is you need a high-quality USB cable to plug your phone in to get CarPlay to accept. I had a couple cheap cords and they would not work so I thought CarPlay wouldn’t work but once I plugged in a official Apple high-quality cable, the radio recognized it and activated CarPlay. So far so good quality is great. I would recommend it.

Works great until it doesn’t
I’ve had this radio for about 6 months and it works flawlessly apart from the fact that the usb port is very poorly put together. Carplay will disconnect if I turn too quickly or hit a bump on the road. I recommend you buy a wireless unit instead.

OEM fit and finish, easy to install.
This replacement radio fits perfectly in our 2012 Jetta. Installation was plug and play with no splicing needed except for power to the new reverse camera. Quality and function are excellent.

This was my third attempt in installing an aftermarket touchscreen for my Volkswagen Jetta. The other two units I tried (different brands) did not work at all. This one worked straight out of the box. I am very happy with it.
