I actually threw the Klipsch woofers in the trash where they belong and installed Sundown subs. The house is now powered with 3 of these amps on Sundowns in Klipsch enclosures. What a difference! So in other word don't wire them like you would a car that being 1ohm-2ohms or lower. Only 4ohm or higher with this amp. **Q: What is the rms power of this amp?** A: Warning this is a 1000 watt RMS amp at 4 ohm not 500 watts !! I have the 500 watt model still in service almost 5 years now ...... Keep Freq low at subwoofer specs and go easy this amp will blow a cheap sub or cause damage to the amp if not used properly !!! **Q: what subs can work with this Amp???** A: This amplifier can drive any subwoofer rated at 4 ohms or higher. **Q: I have a Polk audio dsw 4000 can this amp work's with my unit** A: Yes and no... It cannot handle gain at half way without shutting off. I constantly have to turn it off and back on again for subwoofer to work. Also the automatic trigger turn on sometimes work sometimes doesn't. I tried everything from buying new rca shielded wires to plugging everything into same power conditioner outlet to using isolators. Nothing works.. I tried contacting them but no reply. I explained my problem not wanting to return it but to help me fix the problem and no answer.
