what do I do with the ear bulb

Caren, ear wax is thick, sticky stuff and is not water soluble. This means it will not dilute in water. Therefore, to effectively remove wax from our ears, the wax must first be diluted using a chemical solvent just like we dilute oil based paint with paint thinner. The most common chemical solvent used to remove ear wax is hydrogen peroxide. It works fine except that it is an astringent and tends to dry out the ear canal. This can make the canal itchy. Debrox is gentler. To effectively remove ear wax, you must use the solvent (debrox or peroxide) and water in the proper order and manner. Here's how:Tilt your head to the side and let the solvent (we'll presume deborx here) drip into your ear. 10 drops is usually enough. Remain in that position and let the drops stay in your ear for at least 10 minutes. This gives the solvent time to dilute the ear wax. When time is up, move to the bathroom sink. Run the water at a warm temperature. Squeeze the ball and place it under the flow. Release and allow the rubber ball to suck in the water. Repeat this until the ball is full. Next, place the narrow tip of the ball at the entrance of your ear canal and squeeze hard allowing the water to reach back to the ear drum. Repeat this process several times in order to get all the wax out. If you ear is impacted, large pieces of wax will be discharged by this process. So keep an eye on the sink to see what comes out. I've removed nickel sized pieces of wax from my ears using this technique. Continue in this way until all wax is removed. Ear wax can be a terrible pain but with this process you'll be able to effectively remove it whenever the build up starts causing problems. Good luck.

If you used this product were you left with plugged ears? I used product as directed and flushed with water and my ears are plugged. Do they clear?

Definitely buy the solution that comes with the bulb.
I used the solution and then used the shower head to flush out my ears- to little effect.
I finally got the bulb. One mistake was pointing my ear upwards towards the shower head -and the shower not having the power to flush my ears.
Point your ear to the ground after leaving the solution in for the max amount of time. Then, flush your ear with the bulb using warm water and plenty of force.
You will know that it worked when you are shocked by what comes out of your ears!!!
