This is a fabulous revision book for the psychology A level course with brief summaries of all topics within the broad subject headings (social influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology, etc). Explanations are short but with all important detail including strengths and weaknesses of approaches and limitations of experimental data. Text is broken down with colour highlighting and box-outs to make it reader-friendly. Each section also has summary questions to test factual recall and exam-style questions to test application (suggested mark schemes are given). Illustrations are minimal but all essential ones are included (nerve and synapse structure etc). Extra material at the back of the book describes the content of the 3 papers along with a guide to how examiners assess the content of answers and there is a fully worked through exam paper with answers to illustrate fully. Highly recommended.

My son advised this was very helpful revision material for his exam. In depth and covered all aspects taught in class.

I’m sure it’ll be very useful as a revision tool - however it leaves a bad taste in the mouth when said book arrives with a free sample sticker clagged to the front cover.
