Had another cold sore flare up and as soon as I felt the swelling I applied it. Knocked it out within the same day. I hope I never find myself without it. I'm going to check out the whole product line. *************** I don't know what makes this product so effective but more it is. I use this and the other Quantum lip clear and I swear it really does knock it out in half the time. I try to keep this on hand at home and if I travel just in case. Yeah it's still goopy and looks gross but just put on a little. Reapply as necessary. This is not the cheapest but it's not as pricey as the big name like Abreva which didn't do squat for me. It actually works for me. I highly recommend this product and/or the Quantum Lip Clear Lysine +. Same brand. I have no idea why it's packaged or labeled differently. They do have different "taste" and "smell" (obviously DO NOT ingest it on purpose). But both have the same amount menthol. Might have additional add ins. I don't know. I just know they both work. Get it. Have it on hand.
