We had gotten our toddler the midi size which are much much larger for Christmas. They were such a big hit we ordered the original color of these for us. Since then we also added a set of neon and now these. I assume that these are weighed when they are packaged and not individually counted because I have yet to receive a set that has exactly the number on the box. My boxes all contained more! (original 106, neon 104, original 105, pastel 105) These are smaller than legos so careful supervision is needed when our 3 1/2 yr old plays with them so none are lost. We prefer these by far to the midi size as they are much easier to use but still maintain enough friction that they do not fall apart. Now that we have purchased several 100 piece sets I definitely recommend buying the big set from the start. These are fun and let people young and old explore their imagination with building things in both 2d and 3d. These will help children with the fine motor development and help adults retain theirs. The possibilities are endless depending on the amount you purchase. I hope that my kids ask for more of these in the future to expand their potential creativity.

My kids love Plus-Plus. The neon colors are really fun - and I'm not typically all about buying pretty much anything neon. These pass my personal arbitrary preference test for engaging and not obnoxious neon colors. They are fun to snap together and take apart; they are equal age-opportunity toys and are fun for my children ages 4, 6, and 9. The pieces seem to be made of a very high-quality plastic that is pleasant to hold and manipulate. They come second in our house only to a first-place tie of Lego and Playmobil. The nice thing about Plus-Plus is that you can put them into a reasonably small bag and take them on the go much more easily than a pile of Legos. This seems like a great gift idea for any child who already seems to have everything else. Enjoy!
