Review: Works perfectly for me and my lighting fixtures (Both Lighting IR4's and Beamz Moving Heads), however note that it's supplied power supply is US plug only. You can obviously use a plug adapter, however I wanted to keep the "plug bulk" in my setup as minimal as possible. Fortunately I had a pair of USB cables with the correct barrel adapters so I have been able to power them via USB. Review: I was skeptical about these at first because of the price point, but there was a lot of good reviews so I decided to take a chance. My concern was that I was not sure of the transmission rate and if there would be a lag on the DMX signal . I created a ‘line of site’ so there would be no issues with trying to penetrate walls, crouds of people and things like that and put them to use. I have to say that I was surprised that there was no noticeable delay. It might be measured in milliseconds, but that’s not enough to screw up any lightshow. I think this would work in any small venue and possibly larger ones although they usually have much larger budgets than things like I am involved in. Just be aware that these particular ones need to have power to both the transmitter and receiver. (There are battery versions of these available if needed.) Also it doesn’t hurt to be creative and remember that it doesn’t have to be plugged directly into a light or even a splitter. You can make a line of site by plugging it into a cable dangling somewhere close to your rig to make the line of site. I don’t know how much penetration you will get in crouds and walls so maybe if these people on the other negative reviews would transmit over the crouds or place the receiver prior to a thick wall, it would work better for them and would not be much more work. Just think before you do and don’t be afraid to ask questions if you don’t understand something. They are meant for wireless lighting control. DMX only. They will not work from a DJ controller to a speaker. **Q: how long do these take to fully charge? and how long is the life span of the charge during use?** A: This model needs to be plugged in for use. AC adapters included... there's another model which has true wireless (battery included) - I do not have that kind, just this set which needs AC power **Q: If you can only use 7 receivers with one transmitter for battery powered uplighting and not use xlr cables.
