It applies quite smoothly, and although you can apply it with your bare hands I would recommend rubber gloves or a tanning mitt (if you do apply with bare hands wash them a couple of times afterwards with toothpaste and it all comes off 😄). In the bright light of summer, this gave me a nice caramel coloured glow and did look natural. Also the smell is AMAZING, and it is easy to make it even because the colour guard shows you exactly where you’ve put it. However, the only reason why I can’t give this product 5 stars is because the undertone is extremely green, and in the dim light of winter it becomes a really off colour. I Normally swear by bondi sands but realised that my usual bottles have gold lettering not red/yellow. Everywhere else selling this product uses the newer gold lettering ! The normal one will come out a dark treacle colour however this is applied as a sludge green colour and leaves a noticeable green tinge.
