Hard drive not recognized in bios on a pc I built. Can I install windows and get it recognized there?

There are two kinds of partition tables on hard drives, MBR and GPT. MBR uses the standard BIOS, and supports drives up to 2TB. If you have a 4TB drive that means its GPT and won't be recognized in BIOS (unless you partition it into separate 2TB partitions in some cases.) I'm not an expert on partition tables so I'd recommend looking up "MBR vs GPT" for more information that suits your use case. I'd like to add that nobody should be using a HDD for their OS/boot drive in the year 2021 unless you're the type of person who enjoys sitting in traffic jams. Get a separate SSD for Windows.

No hardware came with new hard drive. no directions or refence guides came with it. need the 4 specials screws and washers for an hp elite desk pc.

You take the screws, washers and drive holder off the old hard drive and put them on the new one.

WD says theres no warranty for this drive. Who provides the advertised 2 year warranty?

Is this oem? In other words does Western digital honor the 2 year warranty?

From what I've read through the reviews and these questions, ome folks have received OEM drives = no, WD "does not provide Warranty Service for OEM Products" ...but some have received non-OEM drives that they've found to be warranty'd.
