Does it get thick half way through the bottle like seche vite?

You can buy nail polish thinner to add to it when the nail polish gets thick. Seche sells its own but there are others too

Is this better than the original? I stopped using the original one because it constantly pulls my polish away from the frwe edge.

It IS better than the original in that it allows for chrome powders and is basically used the same as Seche Vite. My favorite topcoat by far. As far as it pulling your polish away from the edge, well I could recommend a couple things: 1st, make sure you don't get any polish or topcoat on the cuticle. You need a solid seal on the edges of your polish. They WILL life MUCH quicker if you get on your skin. 2nd, if this stuff dries too quickly, or IF you use a fast drying spray (or drops) I have found that it kind of shrinks up but then usually it relaxes. How to do take this off? Like gel or like regular polish?

Even though it's as tough as gel coat, it removes quickly and easily with regular nail polish remover.

Is this a gel top coat that needs a light?

No Light needed! It is the best top coat- It makes your regular nail polish last so much longer.
