SMALLRIG Camera Extended Quick Release Plate Adapter for DJI RS 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro & for Ronin-S Gimbal - 3031

This extended plate gives you the needed ballancing room on the DJI RS3 PRO gimbal to put the FX6 and other heavy duty gear. Much more room to maneuver, even with very small lenses. On bigger lenses, use some extra weights from smallrig also. The extended arms of rs3 pro give you room to put the weight even in the back and below the plate. N.B.!!! Make sure you screw VERY WELL both screws, the 3/8' and the 1/20' - and also make sure the plate is perfectly aligned with the camera. When screwing the camere to the plate, it is very easy to tilt the plate shut to some small degree sideways from the camera's bottom.

I used to use the plate that comes with the RS3 pro but it just feels off balance but this one feels a lot better and it stays on my FX 6 both for tripod and gimbal use

This is essential if you are having balancing issues to a certain degree. The extra length gives you more flexibility to move your rig forward or backwards some.

Love this plate. Works well for large conplicated builds that need counterweights to balance out. Gets caught up in the sliding process at times but over all very happy with this product

I had several problems to attach my BMPCC 4K to balance the gymbal, but this was just the best solution for all the problems

I have the DJI RS2 and RS3 Pro. It’s works better with the RS2. When you use the adjustment dial on the RS3 Pro, it runs out of track and it slides freely for about an inch. It still locks in place but runs out of track when you are adjusting. It works perfect on the RS2. It looks like the plate needs more track underneath the plate for the RS3 Pro. Other than that, this plate is perfect for bigger cameras. I highly recommend this for the RS2. I would get the RS3 Pro Combo and use that extended plate.

Works great but the locking pin the the Gimbal jams. I had to grind the plate to allow it to mount.

I purchased this to use with my RED Komodo, and feel that the plate has a design flaw. The mounting screws on the bottom of the Komodo are very close together, and when you attach the plate I think the tightening is juuuuuust enough to bend the plate slightly, making the locking screw on the DJI Ronin SC not have enough bite. I can physically slide the plate back and forth, even with the locking screw completely locked down.

Really good product. I keep the plate attached to my RS4 pro. I like that its extended so it can help me add a lens support at the end.
