V60 "Air" Drip Kettle, 350ml, Clear Black

Works as advertised, nice and small, easy to pour, retains more heat than you expect. If you have any random unusued tumblers lying around check the tops, I managed to find one that fit perfectly and boosted heat retention plenty. Hand wash, VERY CAREFULLY, I managed to scratch the inside with the rough side of a sponge. Honestly just use this carefully and you shouldn't even have to clean it in the first place. Does it do the job of replacing a fancy pouring kettle? Yes. You can use this for pourovers with almost negligible heat loss and never know the difference in taste. It's great for upgrading to pourovers without upgrading from that cheapo kettle you already had lying around. It's also decent for travel.

This is the perfect kettle for anyone who makes pour over coffee! I like using a large kettle to heat my water but so this is the perfect companion to use for pour overs. The curved neck pours just like a gooseneck would so you can control your pour speed very easily. It's also nice to have markings on the side for every 50 mL so I don't have to use a scale to measure out the water. The plastic feels nice and durable and it's easy to clean as well.

For the past 5+ years, I've been using an OXO Pourover device with lazy drip water tank for making drip coffee at home, combined with an old Cuisinart PerfecTemp kettle which I'm fond of because it has labeled buttons for different tea temps. I recently got a Hario Switch fancy pourover device and I absolutely love it - however, my non-gooseneck kettle is terrible for pourover. It is uncontrolled and chaotic. I really don't know if I'm at the level of hardcore coffee snob where I'd swap my PerfecTemp for a Fellow, so in the meantime, I got this James Hoffman and Reddit-recommended pitcher. Is it just a plastic pitcher that pours precisely? Yes. But it also has markings on the side so that I don't have to weigh my water (remember, I am lazy). I'm able to get my coffee to bloom easily and it tastes great. I follow a modified version of The Coffee Chronicler's Hario Switch recipe and pour half the water while it's open, then half the water while it's closed, let it sit for about 1 minute, then drain.

This works well for travelling and for cases where hot water is not heated inside a gooseneck kettle. The gradient lines help when a scale is not available to measure the water weight (remember 1ml of water = 1 gram). The spout isn't as easy to control as when pouring from a gooseneck kettle, but it is much, much better than pouring from a cup or a regular kettle.

This lets you maintain that precise temperature, which will help you get that precise extraction you want, especially from those fruity, floral light roast Ethiopian beans you get from your local roaster. I have used the Hario Air Kettle for the past two years and it has become part of my standard coffee setup, so much so that I now own two of them (one for home and one at work). I bought my first one in Japan, and when it finally developed a crack and had to be replaced, I was so happy to see they were finally available in the US.

End runs around having to weight the water for my pour overs. The main thing is I prefer a hot cup of Coffee. The time pouring into a vessel over a scale lowers the temperature considerably. This pitcher lets me calibrate the exact amount of water for the pour over. I pour into a V60 set over a carafe immersed in a hot water bath. The Coffee stays hot. And, the pitcher is a fraction of the price of a scale. Perfect solution. PS I also preheat the Coffee cup.

This Hario V60 Air drip kettle has become a key part of one of my travel coffee setups. I pair it with a Sekaer small portable electric kettle and a Sea to Summit Frontier UL collapsible pour-over brewer for what basically amounts to ultimate road warrior coffee. The V60 Air is lightweight, easy to control for precise pours, and tough enough to handle travel without worrying about dents or damage. If you're serious about pour-over coffee even while moving from hotel to campsite, this is a must-have piece of gear.

I drink black coffee. As such there is no forgiveness provided by oversweetened overwhelming flavorings and additives or sweeteners. The coffee must be good. So I use a Hario Dripper and its awesome. Grounds to coffee as God intended. But... to drip, one must pour and this has always been a challenge. I used to use an electric kettle which takes a fine hand to handle in a way that the hot water pours slowly and neatly onto the grounds and not onto the filter. Then one day I invested in an electric water boiler so I have quick access to tea or coffee at any time. The first morning after I got it, I poured the hot water into a separate cup and tried to use that to pour. NO. Within minutes I had this "kettle" pourer ordered because the cup was just unacceptable. This is what I concluded... 1) This is PERFECT for my Hario dripper Size 02. 2) The graduated lines on the side make measuring the right amount of water fast and easy. 3) The water pours in a laminar flow that makes targeting zones in the dripper so easy and accurate. 4) I can easily control how much water flows so I can now effectively bloom the grounds and then finish my pour after doing so. Believe it or not this has actually made my coffee better than ever.

This has been a game changer for me. I didn't want to buy a gooseneck kettle because I don't really have the counter space, but I found pouring from my normal kettle at a steady rate was impossible. This jug looks a bit weird but it's well designed to pour smoothly. I find it perfect for a single cup pour over. It just needs drying after use so very simple to use and no extra cleaning needed in my coffee making process
