How does this work on 4c hair, is it drying or moisturizing? Can you use with other products for extra moisture or will it cause flakiness?

I use a leave in moisturizer, and then the Honey/ginger gel. I find that whatever moisture I have in my hair, it keeps it in. It is heavy on the hair, but I live in the South so it is great for keeping the humidity out. It does not dry the hair, and it doesn’t become crunchy. That has been my experience, I hope that helps.

Is this similar to kinky curly?

For my hair type Kinky Curl makes my hair dry. This product does not. Its not oily either...

Whats the best way to refresh with this product? I live in a high humidity area and my refreshes are never successful

I would use a 360 sprayer with distilled water or a good curl refresher spray. You don’t want a lot of build-up. Scrunch lightly while it’s damp, but don’t get too rough with your fingers. It may frizz. Hope this works for you.

Is this product safe to use on color-treated hair? I am thinking of going to an unnatural shade and am worried about damaging or fading the color.

I have colored hair, and did not notice any fading from this product. It feels moisturizing and like it is protecting my hair.
