The battery only backs up the internal clock and programming in case of mains failure - but of course will not by itself run the sprinklers - they work on 24v anyway and the battery is only a few volts.

Works for 120V Only

Am sure it is a great product but it is for 120V only, will not work outside US because voltage difference. Please make sure to buy 220V if outside US
