For music I use my Keith McMillan 12 step since it is chromatic. I am playing bass in my current band so I have my 12 step controlling a midi loop of a moog minitaur, a micro korg xl, and a korg dw8000 from the early 80s. In other words a Geddy Lee, Rush sorta setup. The beg ringer has 10 switches and two exp pedals. They could have put two more switches on it so you could set it up for a full octave without switching banks.
