Worked great on old plaster ceilings
We just purchased an old 1940s house and found several of the old plaster ceilings cracked. Someone had tried to cover them with a latex paint but the cracks reappeared.The Red Devil Fiber Mesh was easy to work with, after cleaning the areas around the cracks, the Fiber Mesh stayed on even though the ceiling have a texture to them.Covering wasn’t too bad, but I do have to apply a 2nd or even 3rd coat due to the texture of the ceiling and previous attempts to repair cracks.Even letting the Fiber Mesh alone for over a week, the mesh stays in place.Overall, the Red Devil Fiber Mesh has worked great for my situation and I do recommend it.

A must have in a painter's toolbox
These are getting hard to find. Home Depot sells stupid, expensive individual patches made of metal. Overkill. Thus stuff works perfectly for fist sized holes in drywall. Or much bigger patches if you overlap the tape. Just don't try to fix huge holes in one or two coats because the mud will sag or even pull the tape off. Once you get a light coat of mud over the tape and hole, just do as many subsequent coats as it takes. Great, simple, inexpensive product.

Works great even on large holes
Used this to patch holes in my walls. It stuck ok. It could have been better with stickiness but this was my first time patching holes and it turned out well. There was a little movement but once you get the spackle on it there were really no issues. Some of the holes I patched were pretty large and this worked great to cover them and allow holes to be covered over with spackle. Recommend

Not using for walls so...
I got this to use as an art supply, so keep that in mind. As an art supply, it’s pretty nifty. It’s been easy to cut and apply, lift and adjust, but then stays in place after the adhesive has a chance to ‘set’. So it works as a nifty paint mask, is awesome for creating texture under foil or tissue, and creates a great window effect when painted an laid on plastic, plexi, or glass.The hardest thing about it is finding the edge once you remove the wrapping.
