Must have with Rexing cameras
Fixed my Rexing V1P camera using Rexing Smart Hardwire Kit. Initially I decided not to activate the 24/7 as I was a bit concerned that it can drain the car battery. The camera is consuming ~200ma when powered. After few months I had a real need 24/7 (somebody keeps folding mirrors on my car) so I decided to activate the parking mode. Result - doesn't work at all. I'm not sure what the problem is - either dashcam or the kit. The kit has 3 wires - ground, yellow and red. The only way how you can make the camera work is by connecting the yellow wire to 12V (opposite what the kit manual says). The red one is dummy - camera ignores 12V on it so no point of connecting the red to anything. Dashcam doesn't "see" the hardwire kit so the corresponding menu for parking mode throws messages that hardwire kit is not present. The kit itself is overpriced - basically all it does is just reduces 12 V to 5 V to feed the cam, that's all. So if you really want parking mode, look for something else. Rexing doesn't work with its own kit at all.

Defective and broken product sent. The wires are taped up and sent without any quality checks. Not sold by rexing. Worst experience ever.

1. Perfect Smart wiring Kit for your car 2. Works Perfectly with M2 Dashcam in my VW Vento 3. The 24hrs monitoring is good and effective 4. Does not drain your Car Battery 5. Indian Seller does not know the compatibility of the Smart Wire Kit with M2 but after checking with Rexing USA ordered this product and installed in my VW Vento.

The hardwire kit is high quality and easy to install. I connected it to my fuse box and it works great with parking mode. The cable length is perfect, and the voltage protection gives peace of mind. Recommended for anyone with a Rexing dash cam.

I installed this in my car for my dashcam and it works great. It was fairly simple to install. The instructions can be found on youtube and a short video on the Amazon description. I also used chat GPT to help me figure out which fuses to hook in to. Having a multimeter is essential as well (bought one at Harbor Freight for $5) Good product. Hope it holds up.
