When these alarms are set in chime mode, is it just the initial chime when opened, or does it chime continuously?

It has one double chime when opened in chime mode. Kind of like the old department store chimes when you walk in. When set to the alarm mode it's a continuous siren until you shut it.

Loud clear alert/alarm for a reasonably discrete unit that is very easy to install & use. The only possible improvement would be the addition of a hi/low volume switch. Great service and fast delivery.
