    Very Faint light output and not white when off

This product is not very useful. Under any light source you cannot tell the  light strip is on and it has a pinkish salmon tone to it.  In darkness it puts out a faint glow light output. The amount of light visible in the dark is not very useful.  If your intent is to use this to simply provide a dim accent light and you do not mind the pink-salmon color of the strip when it is not on during day light then this may work for you.  Other wise, I do not recommend you spend your money on this item.
