Is there any difference between this and the neck and shoulder rub?

They seem to work identically. The difference isbthat the neck and shoulders kind are white and absorb right into your skin. The other form is thick and orange. The color may stain your clothes if not rubbed in completely.

Am I guaranteed to get the product made in Thailand as shown here and not the thinner product made in India?

Unable to answer that, the product I have now was made in Thailand. I have bought it a few times and it worked well, today was the first time I looked to see where it was made to answer this question. I guess if you get a product that doesn’t work for you return it, Amazon customer is one of the best I have used. Good luck!
