J'avais l'habitude d'étaler la pâte précédente car plus fluide, la Gelid-Extrême nouveau modèle est beaucoup plus épaisse : j'ai essayé de l'étaler avec ou sans l'applicateur mais le résultat est à peu près le même, après plusieurs tests, j'en mets beaucoup trop (d'autant plus que je peux serrer à fond le ventilo sur le proc) et je galère ensuite à l'enlever. Donc je suis revenu à la bonne vieille méthode, une boulette au milieu du proc. J'ai changé ma méthode d'étalage à cause de sa viscosité, du gaspillage engendré et de la fixation avec des vis métal, mais au final j'ai appris que mon proc pouvait monter à 100°C mais avec la Gelid-Extrême, il reste la plupart du temps à 60 °C. Bien sûr qu'une grosse partie du gain est dû au changement de fixation du ventilo mais les -15° à -18°C en idle prouve qu'elle est super efficace. Because mine didn't.** A: 1g tube does not come with the applicator. Only the 3.5g and the 10g come with applicator. Thanks. **Q: How would this compare to thermal grizzly kryonaut? Im not sure which to repaste my laptop with.** A: This is basic ceramic compound. It's safe to use on a delidded CPU or a laptop. It's not conductive and it won't destroy aluminum. In roundup test on the net it's maybe a degree behind Kryonaut but it's near the top of the list. Kryonaut beats every other Ceramic based compound. GC-Extreme is low viscosity so it spreads very easy and it's hard to mess up the application. Kryonaut is less forgiving when it comes to applying it, which give GC-E an advantage in that area. The metal compounds by Cool Laboratory, Conductonaut, and Phoyba contain gallium which interacts with aluminum and makes it brittle. These are also conductive and the Gallium will melt at 86f so you have to apply the right amount. If you want to use this stuff then great, but watch several videos to see how it's done. Personally when I use this stuff, I use Scotch tape on everything which creates a barrier. On a CPU you can use Liquid Electrical tape on the contacts and this will make the application safe if you use the right amount. The metal compounds will only shave off a couple degrees between the IHS and heatsink base on a desktop CPU so it's not even worth using. It's only worthwhile for delidding and on a laptop. **Q: Would one tube of this stuff be enough to apply to both a laptop CPU and GPU or should I buy a tube for each component?** A: Yes, I used it 4 times (3 times on the same laptop, and then 1 time on another laptop) , and i haven't reached the half yet.One tube should be enough to do the CPU and GPU multiple times.
