Does it float if dropped in water?

It would disappear faster than the titanic. It's very stout and heavy. Well built

Is the optical performance good? Is the edge of the image circle blurry, distorted? How much of the center of the image is sharp?

There is no perimeter blur and no distortion. I bought this version for the gas filled optics and not necessarily the mil for reticle , although it will be useful.

Can you see at night with them

No, it is just a regular scope. No night vision or thermal capabilities
