Worked for hours to try and get my new Insinkerator disposal unit to fit within our new farmhouse sink. Was not happening and would never happen. This extension piece solves the problem. Excellent.

The stock disposal flange wasn't long enough on our new porcelain farmhouse sink. I was freaking out until I realized this item existed since we had designed all the base cabinets and countertops around the new sink! Dropped this in and the disposal attached just fine! (phew)

Worked fine. After buying a new Insinkerator garbage disposal to replace a different brand I found the included flange was not deep enough for our ceramic sink which wasn’t obvious before buying. Insinkerator sell their extended flange for $75 (the whole 3/4hp unit cost $179). How they can justify that price for a small piece of stainless steel is outrageous. Fortunately found this piece, $20, arrived next day and fitted perfectly.

Had to buy an extension for my incinerator garbage disposal because it was an antique three compartment cast iron sink which was really thick, existing disposal was an old cast iron kitchen aide worked out great .
