I had purchased the traditional wheel blocks in the past and wasn't totally satisfied with them. They're not as functional, they often can slide on pavement when the wheel puts pressure on them and are a general pain in the butt. i.e. I move the trailer via the tongue and then quickly had to run around to the wheels to put the blocks under them before the trailer starts to roll in my garage. The traditional blocks also made it hard to do minor adjustments of the trailer position, which I often do in my garage because I need to moving things around to access other items in storage. The above said for context, this wheel dock is soooo much easier. Simply move the trailer with the tongue to where you want it and slide this under the wheel. Done. No need to quickly go back and forth to the wheels to un-dock or dock them. This type of dock doesn't slide, where the past blocks did. Quality is good, being made from a very hard molded plastic, like rotomolded plastic. Pretty heavy duty, similar to what a Pelican box is made from. My only other point of feedback is setting expectations on size. This looks small in the photo, but the base is 12 1/2 inches in diameter. The "cup" where the wheel goes is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. It holds the whole wheel on my trailer. This is a good design and bigger is better, but figured I would mention it since I was expecting something smaller based on the photo.

I have added a picture above. In the 2010 season, even though our tent trailer is über light weight, I had situations where the jack wheel sank deeply into soft material. Once I was on loose gravel and it sank to the hub. For the 2011 season I decided this wheel dock was the perfect solution, and it is--perfect. We were camped on grass, but the footprint of the dock is large enough to prevent any sinking whatever. Camped on loose gravel, the wheel dock floated serenely above it. We have not encountered asphalt hot enough to melt, but others have noted that it keeps the jockey wheel from burying itself in hot asphalt. The only challenge we face when we use it is that sometimes we have to back the hitch ball rather perfectly to the hitch because there is little hope of "horsing" even a light trailer if its jack wheel is planted in this dock, because it also makes a swell chock: the trailer is going nowhere if it's in this thing. Otherwise, it is light but very strong; it appears indestructible. The little rope grabber thingy on it is very handy since the dock is otherwise smooth and has no other handholds. It was a very nice touch by the manufacturer.

I used this in unison with wheel chocks and am very happy with how it works and has held up. Been using it for 2 months now and it still looks brand new. 21 foot boat on a single axle trailer total weight about 4k lbs. Where I park my boat and trailer the front wheel hits a slight slope on the drive way which is more then enough slope to want to send this boat and trailer out into the road all on its own. This holds it very secure. Simply park the boat where you want it to be and before you lower the wheel, set this in place directly below and then lower it down onto the dock. Dont try to back the boat up and run the tire up onto it... it's not how this works. Once it's set, throw the wheel chocks on and your good to go. Now that winter is here we sometimes board the boat docked in the car port just to relax, have a drink and listen to music. Feels really secure and have had zero issues.

It does it's job very well. The area where I park the pop-up tent trailer is on a slight incline and this product holds the trailer in place while I chock the wheels. It's sturdy & seems well made. Like everything else these days it's made out of plastic and I'll have to wait to see how well it holds up. The only (slight) negative I see it the large label would not come off and within a week it looks faded and crappy.

This is the best invention I can sync off if you have a trailer to stay in place and not roll away. I fully recommended. But of course it is only for the front wheel and not for the side wheels usable. The side wheels need separate stop us, which are also available from this manufacturer. Having bows for the front and side, you’re doing the best you can do.

Excellent and simple. It receives the wheel from the tongue hitch. It serves as a chock, so you get the safety of chocking the front wheel during unhitching even if you forget the chock the main wheels. It lets you set the wheel down on any terrain, pavement, gravel, grass, mud, and have a secure base. But the trade-off is that once you have the wheel down, you cannot move it. You cannot back the car into place, be off a teeny bit, and just yank the tongue a small bit to complete the job. You have to back the ball perfectly under the hitch using this device. I find the safety and simplicity this gives to be worth the effort to make precise backing.

Got this for my dads boat trailer and it does the trick. The board he was using rotted and the wheel had sunk into his asphalt driveway. The wheel dock distributes the weight nicely and it easy to handle/place. Very sturdy.

Bon principe, mais suppose un terrain plat : pour moi, profondeur insuffisante , tendance de la roue jockey à s'échapper même sur pente légère. Même si bien sûr ce n'est pas un frein de roue, cela devrait quand même servir sur terrain très légèrement incliné...

Ist gut gemeint und erdacht. Aber das Stützrad meines Hängers ist zu groß dafür und steht über die Mulde über und der obere Rand drückt in den Reifen. Ich leg einfach ne Steinplatte darunter.

Solid and works well, I am using for 3000Ib boat and has no issue.
