Nice feature is they default to record with power applied. You cycle power its internal battery does a orderly power down, then it powers back up and starts recording. So finally a Cheap Camera that works. Uniden needs to make a 256G version, add GPS add mini HDMI connector for an external recorder. Review: DONT BUY UNIDEN - Piece of junk. First one died a month after having it, replacement just died as well. Screen/Device locks up and does not function at all. Update. I sometimes leave it in direct sunlight with an outside temperature of 97F and it is apperantly resistant to high heat exposure. The video quality is great and will capture good detail, this dash cam has become part of my vehicle, I gotta have it always. Would buy another if it ever malfunctions but at the moment I have owned it for almost 4 months and works like a champ. I once bought a Cobra dashcam before and it cost me about $189. The first day I tried it and left it in direct sunlight, I noticed the screen cover on the display coming off.
