As the token artist-mom I got roped into helping the freshman class face-painting booth fundraiser. Another mom purchased the oil-based paints and boy and I’m glad I picked up these. The colors were super pigmented and covered great, but also watered down and acted like watercolors when I needed them to. I loved that I could move the individual paints around in the palette to arrange them just how I like. And if needed, I could take certain colors out and use them on their own. Washing up this between kids was quick whereas I’m still cleaning brushes from the oil-based paints a day later. The paint certainly held up, too. Between faces I played around and gave myself some galaxy art and hours later a store cashier thought it was a tattoo. I was the recipient of a massive rainbow across my face. Pink seemed to linger but I was able to get it off without any linger stains with a second round of face wash. One kid changed her mind after I started painted with black. A baby wipe easily cleaned her face without any shadows and I was able to paint a light colored jellyfish. The fundraiser was a success and I will be purchasing more Blue Squid paints for the student artists to use in the next face painting event.

It’s a good product. It’s water resistant. It won’t come off that easy. Easy to apply.

The application of the paint goes on well enough by the stick or with a brush but if you start to get warm and start to sweat this pain will run for days and since it was on and around my eyes be prepared for a lovely stinging sensation until you manage to wash it off. Good product but does not do well under hot conditions.

Update March 2024: the seller responded quickly after I left my review. I had purchased 7 of these and one is missing the white. They offered me a refund. I would’ve loved a white pan sent to me, but I guess this way they expect me to buy a new set. I’m going to just use a white from a different pallet I have. We need a large white anyway. So, great customer service. The paints continue to work well for my factoring class. We started practicing on practice boards (DIY dollar store clear plastic chopping board with a face drawn on paper and taped under it). The black and green are hard to get off) —- Original review: I actually love these face paints. I bought 8 sets on Black Friday to use to teach a class in February. Just opened them up - one set is missing the white. Ugh!! Of course this sucks when I’m hoping the kids will take the paints home. I will change the review to 5 if I get good seller feedback. In the attached photo of paint on my arm, the paint has been there for about 5 hours and 2 hand washes so it’s a bit smudged. It came off VERY easily with soap and water. I did a lot of research to find the most professional paint with the least toxicity. This brand was the winner. Best for sensitive skin and none of the horrible toxins in the major brands. The brushes that come with the set are good. The paints go on nicely. You’ll just need to get a face paint sponge (not regular make up sponge) for blending colors for the base.

Went on well and coverage was good. It took a good number of makeup removal wipes to remove, but was easy to remove.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von der Farbe! Sie lässt sich unfassbar gut verarbeiten und handhaben und haben eine unglauch starke Pigmentierung...Ist nicht nur wunderschön sondern auch sehr ergiebig!!Hier kann wirkliche Kunst entstehen :) Mein Kind hat keine umempfindliche Haut doch diese haben keinerlei Reizungen und Rückstände hinterlassen. Selbst nicht nachdem sie die Farbe 24h drauf hatte ;) lies sich alles ohne jucken oder Auffälligkeiten ohne Probleme abwaschen. Fühlt sich sehr safe an und ich bin happy und dankbar für so tolle Produkte :)

I love this face paint pallette! I have been doing face paint for big events for quite few years now, this is the first tìme purchasing this brand, bc the one I am used to get, is simply getting too pricey. Well, I was nervous to swap brands but, best desition ever! This ones are way better than the pricey ones! Great quality, bright colors on one stroke, stays on very nicely which is ironic bc is very easy to remove...Seriously, I give it 10/10... will be buying this brand from now on

Simply Amazing. Comes with stencils and 3 size brushes. I cut up a new dish sponge to use for base when needed. Dries great and easily removed, gentle on my sensitive skin. GREAT PRICE, GREAT PRODUCT 👌

Ich kann die Gesichtsfarbe nur weiterempfehlen! Wir haben sie zu Halloween benutzt. Mein Sohn und ich selber auch. Sie lässt sich super auftragen mit den beiliegenden Pinseln. Die Schablonen sind soweit ok, allerdings etwas unhandlich beim auftragen aber das ist eher ein kleines Manko. Ich hätte mir lediglich ein paar mehr Schminkideen im kleinen Heft gewünscht, welches dabei liegt. Auch das abwaschen hinterher ging ohne Probleme mit Wasser und Seife und es gab keinerlei Hautreaktionen, obwohl wir ziemlich empfindliche Gesichtshaut haben. Daumen hoch, ich würde das Produkt wieder kaufen.

Bought this for my granddaughter, very impressed with the quality of the paints! Will definitely buy more of Blue Squid’s products
