This IS a DIY'ers and occasional tree/pole climber (homeowners) MUST HAVE.
Half an hour after opening the delivery box, I was comfortably resting about 12 feet from the ground with my spikes dug in and my safety belt adjusted and locked. I've never used any sort of equipment like this before. I just tied those babies to my boots and fitted the belt to my waist, and soon there after I gave my neighbor the "finger" and lite a cigarette while looking over his privacy fence. All this happiness for less than $100. I plan on 5 to 10 uses trimming my own trees. Usually I free climb with my chainsaw. SAFE FOR 100 BUCKS!! And, the zip-ties you can see in the pictures only hold a pad in place; not a safety issue, but a comfort one.

Very cheaply made and uncomfortable
Very cheap quality, the welds holding the spikes on are poor and the straps cannot adjust small enough for my legs (160lbs, athletic build) stay away.

Appeared well built.
Good value and Not bad overall but a bit too short on the calf. I returned them and bought an adjustable pair.

Not adjustable uncomfortable to use. PAINFUL!
These would have been better if you could adjust the height of the top pads. There just a cheap small plastic pad with the smallest amount of foam on them and then a bunch of zipties. They work ok actually just horribly painful to wear. Im 6'2" and these dig into my shins badly and after i used these for an hour my shins were scraped up and bleeding. There needs to be some serious padding added and these need to adjust better. I want to return them but i used them a bit?

What?!
These are definitely made for someone with little legs and feeet. Not enough padding. Rubbed legs and ankles raw. Don’t purchase

Cheaply made setup.
Zip ties hold the padding to the metal braces. Gafs are undersized for any tree with thick bark. When I tried to put them on I could not even weave the strap thru the undersized buckle. And the light secondary fabric that comes with it, ankle ties, started unraveling. I took this as a sign that I shouldn't trust these attached 50 feet up in a tree.

Spikes are very good
But the collers that rap around your leg is not comfortable. They need to work on that part. But sure Can't complain about the price.
