These are great garden stakes and a really good value for the quantity you get. I originally bought them for supporting plants, and they work very well for that. They’re sturdy and don’t bend easily, especially if you install them properly. Quick tip: When pushing them into the ground, use both hands as close to the bottom as possible. This helps in two ways—it makes them easier to push into the soil and also prevents bending the stake. The depth matters too. The further you push them into the ground, the stronger and more stable they are, and the more weight they can support without bending or tipping. The coating seems to be holding up really well. I’m using these around my pond in wet conditions, and they’ve even been partially submerged at times with no issues so far. Bonus Use (What I Actually Use Them For Most) I also use these for something completely different—deterring geese around my pond, especially on a peninsula area. I place them around the perimeter, and this has worked surprisingly well to discourage geese from landing. Over time, geese may get used to the setup When that happens, I just move the stakes slightly, and it resets the deterrent effect I also plan to connect them with fishing line at about 18 inches high, which is considered an ideal height to help prevent geese from entering the area. These stakes are the perfect height for that setup. Between this method and occasional use of green laser pointers, this has been one of the most effective solutions I’ve found. So glad i switched from my bamboo stick style ones. Loved these. Very nice and sturdy. Held up all summer to wind, temperature, weight and didn't bend. Was able to use all kinds of clips and strings. Not sharp and didn't leave any residue on my hands or plants. Very easy to use and put into my garden beds. The height was great for the majority of my plants. The color really blended in well. Wish I could afford more and more sizes. Will definitely be purchasing more throughout the year.

Strong stakes for everything but the Big Boy variety. I think if you use two or three, it might work. Very pleased with my purchase, I will be buying more.

We live in Arizona and used these with chicken wire around some cactus. We found it was helpful to use a piece of rebar to pound a pilot hole as these are solid but not up to the Arizona desert without a little assist. It was also helpful to have one person pound the rebar and a second to use a hose to moisten the soil. They look great with the chicken wire and would definitely use again. If you have soft soil in your garden, then you shouldn't have to make pilot holes.

The same product as the big box stores and way cheaper. The same great quality also.

These are so much better than the bamboo ones I was using. Push down into soil. Held their shape. Didn't fall over in storms. Good support for my vegetable garden.

I use these to hold down the edges of my weed fabric (for tomatoes) and plastic mulch (for melons, peppers, and okra). Just lay down the stake on top of the fabric/plastic along the edge and tap in a 6" staple on each end, and it will hold down your ground cover until you're ready to take it up again.

Very solid and well built. The clip adapters allow you to create different structures to support all types of plants. Definitely ordering more.
