I ordered a size smaller as suggested in other reviews (so a size L instead of XL), which made the main part of the wrap perfect for my thigh size (25" at the top), but made the elastic at the top almost unbearable after about twenty minutes, especially if sitting for any length of time, as when sitting in a car when driving. Ouch!! If I had ordered a size larger, the elastic at the top probably would have been fine size wise, but I don't think the rest of the wrap would have given the same compression that this size gives and what I needed. In order to try to fix this, I wet the top elastic band and stretched them over some supports for a couple of days (about ten inches apart), and that helped a lot by stretching the tops a bit (without stretching the main wrap part). It has helped, even when sitting -- without compromising their main support. Other than the above, I think these are great for walking, etc. They don't slip and give excellent support and compression. I also like the length of them, as I can stretch them down to above my knees (I’m 5’.6-1/2” tall), which I feel gives more support to the whole thigh. Great deal also as you get a pair of them. I started wearing one on each side when walking around, and am very happy that I got them. When the thigh part starts to feel too tight and causes pain, I started to just roll the top part down to just below my knee, and even in that position, I feel that by giving some support to my knee, they still seem to help my thigh. Once the “too tight” elastic irritation goes down, I just pull them back up again. It was suggested that I try putting vaseline around the top of my thighs to help reduce the top elastic support problem, but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. I’ve worn them mainly beneath my clothes so far, but they are okay above, as long as your pants, for example, don’t start slipping down. So wear a belt if you can, lol. I’ve also worn them when sleeping and when the elastic started to feel too tight, I once again, just folded the top part of the wrap down to below my knee which has been working so far. They do get somewhat sweaty on a humid day, but that’s to be expected. A good time to wear them above your clothing. Despite my problems with the tightness of the top elastic part, I would definitely recommend these. You might just have to experiment with the sizes they have to suit yourself.

We measured my son's thigh for the first order and the sleeve was too loose. We dropped back one size and the new one was perfect for him. It provided good compression and support to a pulled muscle and did not slide around.

I was suffering from groin injuries and strains playing ice hockey (beer league and organized pick up). I play two to three times a week. And then I decided to do something about it. I got lucky on the first try by trying these compression thigh sleeve, and wow, I'm just so much more confident on the ice going, sprinting more often, confidently crossing my feet over because my groin is so locked in. Incredible. I wish they made an entire legging with cup support, and socks straps.

Pulled my muscle playing soccer this helped me with compression therapy and I still wear it during games. It does ride down so that is the reason for the 4 stars. It needs more anti slip strips
