Because of its small size, the Mini Survival Gear Box fits great in a coat pocket, backpack or even glove compartment. The Best Glide ASE Mini Survival Gear Box is made from high quality aluminum, thicker than similar products. This makes the Mini Gear Box extremely durable. An integral seal, secured firmly inside the lid, makes the mini gear box very moisture resistant. Heavy duty roller clamps on each end of the box helps to firmly secure the lid to the box. The hardware used to attach the claps to the lid is made of stainless steel, as strength in this area is paramount. Because of the integral rubber seal, The Best Glide ASE Mini Survival Gear Box is designed to be water resistant to keep your valuable dry wet weather. However, it is not designed to be submerged. The Best Glide ASE Mini Survival Gear Box weighs 4.4 oz, slightly more than similar products due to the thicker aluminum used on the Mini Gear Box. Interior dimensions are approximately 1" x 5" x 3.5". The exterior of the the box is slighly larger at approximately 1.25" x 3.75" x 5.75". Body and Lid Material: Aluminum. Latching System Hardware: Stainless Steel. Integral Rubber Seal in Lid. Water Resistant (Note: This item is water resistant, not water proof. It is not designed to be submerged.) Please note: These boxes are made of aluminum. Review: its a shame they went with bathroom silicone for the seal it dosent even seal as soon as you got something heavy in it like your multitool and drop it in water everything inside is wet so you cant trust it to be water proof DO NOT KEEP ANYTHING YOU DONT WANT TO GET WET INSIDE
Review: Purchased this for a survival tin project. It’s roughly 5x3.5 inches with a smidge more than 1 inch in depth. I can’t speak on the waterproof capabilities since I haven’t tested that and despite others my seal/gasket is in good condition (currently). If the seal degrades over time I’ll make another one. For me it fits, a lighter, SAK, small streamlight, ferro rod, fresnel lens, small fishing kit, large piece of aluminum foil folded, large Mylar blanket, 10ft of paracord braided, and some aquatabs. After loading it, it weighs about a pound. The weight and size is too big to carry in a pants pocket EDC but I can store it in my vehicle, carry it in my inner coat pocket, or a belt pouch. I love the quality of this tin so far.

I needed a container for the first aid supplies that I carry in my travel shaving kit. My shaving kit’s very well made and designed. It’s got several zippered compartments and interior pockets. It’s even got a hook for hanging it on a towel rack, door knob, etc. However, I didn’t want to have to dig around looking for loose first aid supplies. This box was the solution. Everything’s in one place, protected, dry, and can be taken out whole and ready to use. It’s large enough to hold several each of a variety of bandages, ointment packets, etc. As you can see from my photos it’s the perfect size for my needs.
