Of course, this defeats the convenience factor of using the pods, in which case you might as well just use regular liquid or powder at the laundromat. **Q: How many ounces is each pen?** A: .338 ozs **Q: do any of the tide pods for he washers have a softener added?** A: To my knowledge it does not! You would need to add a separate softener.
