Does it show stainless scratch marks?

If you mean scratch marks from silverware mine does not. The set still looks brand new. I have been using daily since purchased last Spring. Great value and look for price. I qouls buy again.☺

Does this dinnerware get uncomfortably hot when it is put in the microwave?

Mug filled with water for tea and dinner plate to warm food did not get uncomfortably hot in microwave.

are they lead and cadmium free

While researching this myself, I believe I read somewhere that Pfaltzgraff uses a lead-free glaze, but I may have read this from a blog. Per their website:"Pfaltzgraff, a Lifetime Brands company, stands behind the safety and quality of all of its products. All of our products are tested by accredited, independent laboratories and meet or exceed all federal standards relating to lead and other contaminants." Which doesn't necessarily mean it's 100% lead free, just meets fed standards. I personally asked about melamine, here's their response:"No melamine is added to our porcelain sets. We share your concern regarding harmful ingredients and that is why we have a rigorous testing program to ensure that our products meet all federal and state regulations"

Great dishes for a Great price!❤️

I bought my set in April 2024. They are beautiful and good quality. After almost a year of use, they are still beautiful. No chips or cracks! I have Wedgwood (2 sets), Lenox and Noritake. In other words, I am a china snob. 🤭 This Pfaltzgraff set is great!👍❤️❤️❤️
