I spent some time researching devices that would allow control of our lights but kept coming up against the blocker of needing a Neutral wire at the switch. I wasn't expecting to find a device like this and for such a small cost. Although a Neutral connection is still required for this device, it's so small that I could put it up into the ceiling rose neatly and out of sight. Installation was a breeze and took about 5mins. Just watch the labeling of the connections. Live is well labeled but the Neutral side shows 2x NIn terminals. These are in fact pass-through so you can power the device through the first NIn and the Neutral to the load passes out through the second NIn. You can see they're bridged on the underside of the PCB. There are another 2 terminals called S1 and S2 that a switch can be attached to for manual control of the device but don't connect any live source to those terminals as they're only for attaching a switch to close the connection between them. The eWe app to set up the device is fine, but the integration to Alexa was seamless. All in all a great little device for a remarkably low cost!

Great WIFI relays. Very easy to use and the addition of DIY mode is great, allows me to easy and them to me Home Assistant/Home Lab to allow cameras to turn the relays on and off.

Brilliant project item! Small and easy to set up in your ceiling rose; I have flashed a custom written Firmware to this device as the EWeLink App is more restrictive than my Home System likes, that proved difficult due to the TX/RX pins being a small solder pad not a pin but works a treat! No issues so far! Will be buying more for the rest of my lights - Note: if flashing custom Firmware, the board requires ESP8266 not ESP8285 firmware otherwise the WiFi doesn’t work (although it’s an ESP8285 installed)

I brought this to use with HomeAssistant - I didn't want to use it through the ewilink app - instead I wanted to use esphome instead. I used the included jumper to turn on "dig mode" and then followed the sonoff instructions to flash the esphome compiled firmware. All this worked based on their instructions and I am able to integrate directly with HomeAssistant. I've wired mine into the ceiling rose and can still turn on and off with the standard switch or now through HomeAssistant

I have used these for lighting at 240V and for LED drivers and like them. The setup is not as slick as the Meross switches, but once setup they are more reliable. NB you might need to adjust your network settings to find the switches during setup, but they can go back once done.

This puppy was recommended by my electrician who installed it for me. It does the job, allowing me to include the lights to which it is connected in my overall “Smart Home” setup under Alexa control. The electrician made a temporary connection for me, so in the 15-30 minutes it took him to complete the other required connections, I was able to connect the wi-fi and get it recognised by Alexa. I was a little irritated to find that my “Tuya” app couldn’t see it and so I was forced to install and use “eWeLink”, but this was a minor irritation rather than a show-stopper. Now installed, and eWeLink skill is enabled in Alexa app., it is fully integrated with my many other smart home devices (Smart bulbs, smart plugs, smart switches, Ring doorbell, Hive thermostat) and is a reasonable (and much cheaper) alternative to a smart light switch.

I wired this into a 3 way switching circuit on my landing. Easy to connect (understanding multi switching would really be needed)! Only 1 mini needed and all original switches work perfectly. I have new wiring so neutral and permanent live are at light switch so mini fitted in dry lining box. If you have older wiring where neutral and live are at ceiling rose the mini can be tucked in ceiling behind rose. If back box is not so deep or you need to fit in 2 mini’s in a 2 gang switch you may have to conceal elsewhere (ie behind plasterboard). All considered good product and good price. Update: After further use I found that the switch connection periodically had s time delay, and sometimes the light either stayed on or off and did not recognise the change, I had 3 off these and problem occurred on each... WiFi side of it fine but this let it down.

The Sonoff Mini is the answer to the growing dilemma :- I want my home to be smart but I want it to be aesthetically pleasing. With the Mini, it’s best attribute is the fact that you can wire it in the wall, to the existing switch and still use that existing switch. No more cover up switches or taping the switch into the on position - just hook this up to your existing lights and enjoy. Having said that, while I doubt they could make the Mini much smaller, it is still difficult to fit behind most light switches or lights as they were never installed with enough space behind them. You will find that you probably need to replace the pattress box or break the existing one. These should be installed in an enclosure though so I recommend changing the box. For safety, I would advise crimping the wire ends to a connector before inserting into the Sonoff to ensure no short circuits. So far so good with the installation - was a bit annoying at first to connect it to the app. I had to pair it manually. But after that I have it configured, shared and also working with Apple HomeKit via Homebridge. Looking forward to installing more of these! If this review was helpful, please indicate so below. Muy buen producto, compacto, practico para su configuración dentro la la app una vez enlazado. Cuesta un poco de trabajo ponerlo en modo de emparejamiento para sincronizarlo con la WIFI.

Ich bin mit dem Smartschalter sehr zufrieden und hatte schon das Vorgängermodell im Einsatz. Bei der neuen Revision habe ich den Eindruck das er schneller reagiert, der alte hatte noch fast so etwas wie eine "gedenksekunde" die hat er nicht mehr. Also eine Empfehlung von mir!

My second purchase. Using them with Alexa, very reliable, never had a failure/need of reset. Easy setup and Alexa integration with the ewlink app. In the ewlink app you can turn on some features that Alexa do not have but still works with Alexa, additional bonus. E.g automatically turn off the device after xxx time has lapsed since power on, power on state, timers and loop timers. Very useful for my setup.
