This bag is VERSATILE: It's a backpack! And, it's a messenger bag! And, it's a briefcase/computer bag! It quickly, easily and neatly switches between the three. So you can carry it everyday and on trips. HANDSOME. If you like a vintage look, then you'll like this bag. The canvas material has a proper khaki color, the leather-like flap is well grained so it looks real, all trim colors match correctly, the zipper pulls are chrome (with leather-like pull tabs), and the contrasting black ballistic straps. HEAVY DUTY, and very well finished. Those straps are strong, sewn on super-securely and there to stay. The zippers are thick and strong. Everything feels secure. COMFORTABLE. When worn as a backpack it's nicely balanced and the shoulder straps are wide and soft. When carried as a briefcase, the thick ergonomic handles are easy to hold, more comfortable than plain webbing. While it doesn't come with a sternum strap, it does have two places to clip one, and if you wind the messenger strap around the shoulder straps, they can double as a sternum strap in a pinch. SECURE: The main zippered compartment is protected by two additional snap buckles. MADE FOR TRAVELERS - here's an EXCELLENT UNADVERTISED FEATURE: (see first photo) The thick back straps and handles that go horizontally across the bag also allow you to slip the bag over the handle of your rolling luggage! That's an extremely useful feature while traveling! There's also a mesh water-bottle pouch and two extra heavy-duty straps on the bottom if you want to hang things off it. And--the included webbed strap for messenger bag mode attaches with two secure carabiners. I was most pleased to see this undocumented feature and will be taking this bag on my trip to Japan in June. I'll update this review on how it works for travel. I have one small issue: the u-shaped zipper on the front, designed for quick access to things you use often isn't the smoothest. That said, this bag is stylish, secure, versatile, comfortable--and a great value!

I have never felt more positive about a product than I do about this Canvas & Leather Bag. It is a Backpack or Carry-on Bag, weekend excursion bag, a Duffle Backpack, AND, it can carry your Laptop or your clothes and toiletries or all the above. I received this product the day I was leaving for an overnight trip. I put my clothes, toiletries, my large screen laptop, all incidentals and took off. This product is padded, soft and has so many zipped pockets for all your needs and more. I even did some shopping and had room for those items too. I love it!!! I have traveled a lot for my career and I have looked for something just like this, flexible, functional and an all-around versatile bag. Now I have one. I highly recommend this product. In fact, I will be purchasing one for my husband's birthday. Don't pass this product by. It is wonderful.

I purchased this as a carry-on to take to Italy and it was the perfect size for everything I didn't want to take in my checked luggage. It is attractive and well-made, and can be worn as a backpack, or just over one shoulder, or carried as a tote bag. Its interior and exterior pockets, most of which are zipped, let me carefully organize and quickly access my items. The bag survived the trip with no problems, and I expect to take it on many more trips. Also, this bag was less expensive than others with very similar features, so it was a great value!
