I have a mitsubishi and need a 22mm why does this say it in the title and not anywhere in the description.

Pretty much all of the O2 sensors are 22 mm (7/8"). From the description next to the picture: "Common 6 point, 7/8 in. (22mm) socket fits most oxygen sensors".

Would an equivalent-sized crowfoot wrench (using a ratchet plus an extension) work to install/remove an oxygen sensor? They're similarly shaped, and I already have them on hand. Thanks for your help.

The sensor would have to be very loose because you are engaging only two sides with a crowfoot wrench. I needed a 3/8" to 1/2" adaptor and a 20" 1/2" drive break-over bar to remove the old sensor. If you aren't going to reuse the sensor, you could cut the wires and use a 7/8" box wrench.

Why is this better than the ares 70039?

I don’t know why it’s better, but it is an amazing tool. Probably it is better because of its design. It’s perfect for changing sensors and very well made ✅

will it work for a 2011 xc90?

Yes it will. remember since it's 2011, it's going to be on tight. Get penetrating oil and apply at least 30 minutes before hand.
