Bosch PS31N 12V Max 3/8 In. Drill/Driver (Bare Tool)

Bosch hasn't changed the design in many years, and why should they? It's a perfect fit for my hand, and durable. A 1/2" drill is unnecessary for many tasks. When 3/8" is all you need, I think this is the ideal choice. Good looking, sturdy, and functional. I keep a heavy-duty 1/2" deWalt in reserve; mostly I use three Bosch drills, one with a 3/16" bit, one with a countersink, and one with a 3/32" bit for pilot holes. One of the Bosch drills is at least 5 years old, with no signs of wear yet.

Powerful, but had to buy battery for handle and then charger. All good in the end.

This drill is such a joy to use. It is light weight and able to fit in tight places. It uses my other Bosch 12v batteries and it is just a quality drill. It is so much easier to manage on small projects (specifically my 3d printed projects) than the larger more powerful drills.

I had an earlier model of this exact drill in a kit for about 30 years. Including 2 rechargeable batteries and a good carrying case. Only the drill body died so this was the perfect replacement because it works with the old batteries and carrying case. Saving the purchase of buying a new drill AND the accessories.

How the mighty have fallen. I used one of these at work, daily for almost a decade. When it eventually wore out, I was thrilled to buy a fresh one. Well, that one quit working properly* within 10 months. Replaced again, and got two months out of the third unit. Pretty disappointing after investing the big 6AH battery and talking these things up for years. *Drill does not move when trigger is pulled. It starts out intermittent, if there's pressure on the driver. Eventually it becomes 1/4-1/2 the time the trigger is pulled, nothing happens. Maybe I should try the brushless version, but for the delicate work I do, I don't want or need more torque than this model has.

The Chameleon or 5 in 1 had changeable heads and handled hex bits. The version is a normal drill. I have both which are excellent. Be sure to buy the one you want

J'avais déjà une perceuse- tournevis Bosch depuis plus de 10 ans, elle s'est cassé au sol après chute de plus de 30' sur du béton.. J'adore ce produit il est très fiable et son prix en est ridicule .... Great drills! Last a long time and work well

It doesn’t come with a battery. It doesn’t have the same torque range as my older model. Otherwise it is a good reliable hand held drill.
