Amazing flavor and taste
Absolutely delicious. After being on liquids for nearly 2 weeks I finally got this soup for a change of pace. I got the variety pack just so I could try each of them. I took a suggestion from another reviewer. I added the water slowly until I reach the consistency that I liked. That was at about 4oz . The onions and carrots in this soup are super tiny but very flavorful. The overall flavor of the creamy chicken soup was a surprise to me. I was expecting something chalky and protein tasting. This soup was better than none beriatric soups. I would highly recommend this soup to anyone. *The only thing to be aware of is that the protein used is whey concentrate instead of isolate, which means the protein absorption is not the best. I was going to try adding 1/2 a serving of flavorless whey protein isolate to this soup and see how it turns out. I think it might make the soup thicker and it would definitely increase the protein.

RIP OFF ON VARIETY
This should be a five star review. The cream of broccoli delivers a nice flavor without the chalky taste of protein. It's a great way to get protein in without any major difference in taste. Unfortunately, the cream of mushroom recipe has to be this: go to your local grade school. Take a tablespoon of dust from the chalkboard. Go out into the playground and get a tablespoon of dust from where the kids were playing. Go to your local college and ask the chemistry professor to give you a bottle of "mushroom extract" to add. Stir and add hot water. Yes, it's that bad. I added real cooked mushrooms and onions and barely gagged through it. Worse, if you advertise a product as a "variety" and that there are 5 flavors, you expect to get at least 1 of each flavor and a couple of doubles. Nope. I got 3 cream of mushroom, 3 cream of broccoli and 1 cream of chicken. Where is the chicken noodle? Where is the cream of tomato? Was there a sudden pasta and tomato shortage at the factory? Did Billy Bob fail math? Edited: after trying the cream of mushroom, I have to change my review. It's still a one star since there's nothing lower. Do better, BariWise.

Not What I Expected.
Hello, perhaps it's too soon to write this review, since I have had only two of the soups so far..... The Chicken w Pasta was a simple chicken bullion with about a teaspoon of short little porous sticks, that did not resemble pasta. The Cream of Broccoli was watery and not much flavor with tiny green specks that was suppose to be broccoli. I could have made the Chicken/Pasta with a teaspoon of bullion in 8 oz of boiling water and a teaspoon of crushed Ramen. The Cream of Broccoli could have been made by pureeing a cup of Broccoli in 8 oz of chicken broth. Of course my examples did not take into account protein or calories, they're too low. I once, many years ago, fasted for 9 months with HMR, we only had chicken soup, chocolate and vanilla, they were thick, satisfying and delicious, If not, I couldn't have lasted for 9 months. I made the soups and added different spices for variety and did the same with the shakes, adding different flavors. In addition, I was also able to make cookies and crackers, by reducing the amount of water and dropping the "dough" on a cookie sheet and baking until done. They were convenient to bring along on trips. So, I think that BariWise needs to go back to the think tank and develop a product that's not only nutritious, but tasty and satisfying. Think about it! If this is all you have to eat, it should be the best it could be. I will gladly come back and update this review after I finish the other soups in the variety pack. Happy Dieting. Anna

Quick, easy and tasty
I like these soups, although I usually do not get the variety pack cause I don’t always like all the varieties, but that’s a personal preference. Most of them have a great taste and they’re really easy to use.

Great for post op protein and good tasting
I ordered these to try and get some variety in during my post op (VSG) liquid phase. I struggle to tolerate most protein shakes, but these soups were a life saver. The creamy chicken was the best tasting, followed by beef, chicken pasta and chicken. The vegetable soups were a bit grainy and lacking in flavor. Instead of water, I used a bone broth with 10g of protein, which helped me reach my protein goals. Will keep the creamy chicken in rotation, because it tastes so good, and will help givw me that extra protein as I transition into other phases. If you are a bariatric patient- these are a must have

Not worth $2 a packet
Just tried Cream of Broccoli: weird gritty texture, more onion then broccoli flavor, I won't be buying that flavor again. Just realized even though the box shows nutrition for seven different flavors. All it came with was 2 Cream Tomato, 1 chicken bouillon, 2 Cream of Broccoli, & 2 Beef Bouillon. There was no Cream of Chicken, Chicken Noodle, or Cream of Mushroom(one of the flavors I specifically wanted). Fried Chicken bullion today. It had the aroma and taste of chicken stock that my grandma used to make. Not their fault I don't like plain chicken stock. Adding some seasonings to it helped. *Amendment: box says Cream of tomato, the pouches say Tomato Bullion. I believe the pouch. It had a raw tomato flavor, that again needed seasoning. Today I tried Beef Bullion. Not bad after I added seasoning. The moral of the story is, you don't get exactly what you ordered. If the nutritional info can be trusted its a good individual soup starter. Like throwing in some seasoned precooked veggies. Sadly I dont think there is enough trust to order again.

Tasty and filling!
Bought this soup for after bariatric surgery. I purchased the variety pack. Please note: you may not get a full variety in the box AS STATED! I got cream of broccoli (pictured), cream of mushroom, cream of chicken. At 7 days post op, I tried cream of broccoli. It is delicious and creamy. It mixed well and is easy on the tummy. I will definitely purchase again. Highly recommend for anyone going through bariatric surgery needing to meet your protein goals.
