I've seen where you can fill the back/inside of a PL-259 connector with clear silicone caulk, let dry, & that would make a "rain cap" that fits a Wilson Magnetic mount. **Q: Will this fit a Tram 5 inch magnetic base** A: Yes, but I think that you might have the wrong idea. This cap just covers the mount -- the threaded post with the contact. That's the part that you need to keep dry, because that's where the electrical connection is. Tram/Browning mounts have pretty much the same thread depth, regardless of the size of the base, and this covers my Tram/Browning mount.
